Purpose The Contemporary’s Women’s Issues database provides full-text access to information on women in over 190 countries. This global information on women includes: journal articles, newsletters, and research reports from non-profit groups, government and international agencies and is compiled in a single collection bringing together such disciplines as sociology, psychology, health, education, business administration, and political science.

Sources

Contemporary Women’s Issues brings together content from mainstream periodicals, "gray" literature (nontraditional or noncommercial publishing), and the alternative presses. Reports include research, surveys, and statistical data on a range of women’s issues and comprise over three-quarters of the database. Reports are published by prominent national and international organizations. Journals and newsletters comprise almost 150 sources from which articles are selected.
